Republic of Palau and Hawaii banned sunscreen products containing environmentally harmful ingredients Oxybenzone due to its ability to cause major environmental damage to reefs and waterways. Some international regions have even banned use of insect repellents due to their harsh, chemical-riddled ingredients.
Our zero-waste products, bug off and zinc on do not contain any of these harmful ingredients. The Australian Government is yet to ban these harmful, chemical-heavy products. So, it is up to us, me and you, to make simple changes that will benefit oceans, waterways, forests, animals, and our families in a really big way. We handcraft our high-quality balms in small batches by the sea, sourcing ingredients locally where possible and filling each recyclable tin with time, love, and a product we are very proud to share with you.

Golden Jojoba Oil
Jojoba Oil (pronounced ho-ho-ba) is actually a liquid wax rather than an oil, and it closely resembles the sebum of the skin. It is rich in nutrients such as Vitamin E and B, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids that work together to help repair damaged skin cells, fight premature aging and provide long-lasting moisture and hydration for the skin.
Shea Butter is rich in fats, making it a fantastic moisturiser for dry and aging skin, and is commonly used for the treatment of various skin conditions such as dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, and blemishes. It is naturally rich in vitamins A, E, and F, and is said to offer a mild sun protection factor (approximately SPF 6).
Zinc is a powerful trace mineral, well-regarded for its role in sun protection, wound-healing, and repairing the skin system. We use Zinc Oxide in our zinc on.
